Do you offer the cheapest wedding photography packages?

 

No. But we are not the most expensive either. 

 

Our pricing reflects the fact that Paper Dreams provides a quality product and service using the best photographic equiptment.

 

Plus, we are always mindful of the fact that these photographs will last you a lifetime!

 

Prices start at $3000 for the Digital Collection.

 

What do your packages include?

 

All packages include high-res digital copies of your images ready for printing, as well as low-resolution files suitable for sharing on social media. Every client also receives:

 

  • a pre-wedding consultation;

  • professional image editing and retouching; and

  • an unlimited number of photographs taken on the day.

 

Every package also includes coverage of the entire event i.e “the works.” This includes: bride preparations, groom preparations, ceremony, wedding detail, couple and family shots, reception etc., captured by two professional photographers.

 

Entire event coverage means there is no need to stage a mock cake cutting, or have the bride meet with the groom prior to the ceremony to take photos. We are happy for you to take your time and will be there to capture the event as it unfolds naturally.

 

Why do you shoot with two photographers?

 

Having a second wedding photographer present on your wedding day is a good idea for a couple of reasons.  Firstly, it allows Paper Dreams to capture both the bride and groom concurrently.  In our experience, these are some of the most beautiful images of the day: the bride walking towards the groom; the groom’s expression as he sees his bride for the first time.

 

A second shooter also means that you end up with a variety of views and angles of special moments, and a greater choice of images to display in your wedding album.

 

To ensure a consistent look and feel, our second shooter is always a fully-trained, professional photographer rather than an assistant. If your wedding is large, a second shooter means we can spend time photographing your many guests without time being taken away from photographing the bridal party.

 

How far in advance should I book?

 

Booking a photographer is usually the next logical step after deciding on a wedding date and venue. Most bridal magazines and blogs encourage brides to secure a photographer at least 12 months before the big day. This is because there are a limited number of weekends each year and dates get booked out very quickly during the peak wedding season.

 

Can I meet with you?

 

Absolutely, we encourage all couples to meet with Simon prior to their wedding to discuss their creative vision for the day. No two weddings are ever the same and photographic requirements can vary.

 

Do we get input into the creative process?

 

Of course. Nothing gets Simon more excited about a wedding than a creatively minded couple.

 

Your wedding is an opportunity for you to collaborate with your photographer. Feel free to suggest locations that resonate with you as a couple, or send us links to mood boards, Pinterest accounts or clippings of photographs that you like. Together we draw up a list of shots to be taken.

 

But if you’d prefer to be guided through the photographic process, that’s ok too. We can help you to crystalise your ideas for the big day.

 

What can we expect from you on the day?

 

Plenty of energy! Having said that, we always aim to be relaxed and approachable, and shoot weddings in a professional and discreet manner. Our second shooters are all extremely lovely people too.

 

Some couples are happy to leave their guests to mingle for an hour or so while Simon takes photographs of you in a beautiful location, while others prefer unobtrusive, candid photography throughout the day. It’s totally up to you.

 

At your pre-wedding consultation, we will talk to you about what your expectations are for the day and be guided by you.
